Core Concepts Physical Therapy & Pilates

Core Concepts is a newly established wellness facility specializing in holistic care. This establishment welcomes those recovering from injuries as well as anyone looking to improve their overall health through physical activity.

The owner was looking for a logo that would reflect the strength, balance, and sense of well-being her clients could come to expect from her practice. By pairing a curvilinear icon with a sturdy typeface, the result is a logo that clearly communicates these capabilities. The suite above represents three different iterations of the logo for use on multiple formats including letterhead, stationery, and the web. Also included in the final package are four individual pieces of the logo, which can be mixed and matched according to whatever the client's requirements may be in the future.

La Cakerie Mount Vernon

La Cakerie is an artisan bakery with three locations in the Baltimore area. They are most known for their endless array of quirky cupcakes dreamed up by owner Jason Hisley, who has been featured on several Food Network baking competitions.

Their Mount Vernon shop is nestled in the midst of several local colleges, which produces a high volume of students, faculty and staff. In order to cater to this particular demographic, La Cakerie came up with a special promotion. Their existing black and white cake emblem was designed by another artist, and it's simplicity was the basis for the no-frills layout. The bakery's signature shades of pink make an appearance, and the fluid typeface is reminiscent of cheerfully piped icing.

Eagle's Nest Pajama "Par-Tee" 2015

Eagle's Nest is a golf and country club located in Phoenix, MD. The Women Golfers of Eagle's Nest (WGEN) host several events throughout the season, many of which are themed.

For the 2015 WGEN Member-Guest event, the theme was "Pajama Party." The client wanted to integrate the sport of golf with images that would conjure a classic girls' sleep-over. PJ's, golf tees, teddy bears and flag pins are among the hand-drawn elements of the overall design. The above designs are for the invitation (copy provided by client) and a custom commemorative pillow case that each participant would receive as a gift. The color palette is a fun nod to girls on the greens.
